Position the Decal
The first step to putting on a car decal is knowing exactly where you’re going to apply it. Some people choose to apply it using masking tape first so they can see how it looks before removing the paper backing.

Clean and Prep the Surface
Once you know where you want to apply your sticker, the next step is to prep the surface. Whether it’s a windshield sticker or door banner, there’s nothing worse than having grainy bits of dirt or air bubbles stuck under your decals. Use a gentle cleaning solution and your microfibre towel to clean and dry the area completely.
Peel and Secure
As with any sticker, decals come with a paper backing that you’ll need to peel off before you stick it down. Peel carefully from the corner, and then place your sticker where you want it. Starting from the corner, gently press down on the edge of the sticker and use your squeegee to smooth out the decal, making sure to push out all the bubbles that appear.
Remove the transfer tape
Once your decal is securely on, the last step is to remove the transfer tape! Start from one corner and peel off sharply at an angle, making sure your decal doesn’t come off with it.
Make sure to push out any remaining bubbles, and try to give your car at least 24 hours before exposing it to extreme weather or washing.
Car Decal Maintenance
To keep your decal looking fresh, try to avoid washing it with harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Instead, use a mild soap and water, or use the same cleaning solution and microfibre towel in your sticker application kit.
